Synopsis

On Christmas Eve, at an intersection, my girlfriend was hit by a car and killed.

I run to the old shrine the two of us once visited, and I pray. Even if every last trace of my love for her is erased from inside me, I don't care. So—please. Give her back.

And then, time rewinds.

In April, as the cherry blossoms fell, a love began when we both reached for the same book in the university library. It was always she who spoke first. She laughed easily, talked easily, and stepped right in on her own—and only around her did the hard edges of my unapproachable manner soften.

On the night of the summer festival, she told me an old legend she had heard from her grandmother.

To take back the one you love from fate, there is no way but to erase their image from two hearts.
